A most beautiful alpine which is now almost extinct in the wild. Best grown in a cool alpine house in a mixture of John Innes No.2 and sharp sand. In milder parts of the country it may also be grown in the garden in full sun but requires good drainage. Flowers range from deep gentian blue to pale blue. Flowers in April.
