Cultivars of hyacinthus orientalis, the growing and treatment of Hyacinths has been a Blom speciality for over five generations. The treatment after lifting the bulbs is of greatest importance as it is at this stage that the embryo flower bud is developed to maximum capacity. Our top size hyacinths are guaranteed to produce beautiful large flowers and many as indicated are easy forcing varieties. Follow our cultural instructions for perfect results.
Bowls or pots should not be brought into the light untill the flower buds stand well out of the neck of the bulbs. At this stage the shoots will be approximately 7 cm. (2.5in) tall. For your guidance the approximate time is stated at the end of each individual description.
