Dating back to the beginning of the last century, the very beautiful and sweetly scented Jonquil Orange Queen produces flowers of a yellow orange with a cup of the same colour. Our Daffodils and Narcissi are ordered following the Royal Horticultural Society’s classification. Jonquil Orange Queen is a Division 10 – Species and Dwarf Narcissi, a shorter variation of the N. jonquil, a variety which will bear multiple scented flowers per stem, its rush-like foliage is usually as long as its stem. A well-drained soil, deeply worked and containing some humus is ideal for narcissus and they will not tolerate a waterlogged soil. Jonquil Orange Queen will grow to around 25cm.
