Perfectly formed, Altun Ha has blooms of which open soft lemon but as they develop the trumpet shaped cup turns white. Our Daffodils and Narcissi are ordered following the Royal Horticultural Society’s classification. Altun Ha is a Division 2 – Large Cupped Narcissi, these have comparable characteristics to the Trumpet Daffodils with a single flower to a stem with a cup which is a similar size to its perianth’s segments. The difference between the daffodils and narcissus is down to the size of the cup, daffodils have a large trumpet while narcissus have a smaller cup. A well-drained soil, deeply worked and containing some humus is ideal for narcissus and they will not tolerate a waterlogged soil. Altun Ha will grow to around 40cm and is recommended for exhibition.
