Daffodils Large Cupped Daffodils Perfect Lady
- Long Description
Sweetly scented, Perfect Lady has creamy white petals and rosy red cup which is frilled at the edges and keeps its colour with age. Pink cupped varieties are best planted in a sunny position in the garden as this allows them to develop their tints which occurs several days after opening. Our Daffodils and Narcissi are ordered following the Royal Horticultural Society’s classification. Perfect Lady is a Division 2 – Large Cupped Narcissi, these have comparable characteristics to the Trumpet Daffodils with a single flower to a stem with a cup which is a similar size to its perianth’s segments. The difference between the daffodils and narcissus is down to the size of the cup, daffodils have a large trumpet while narcissus have a smaller cup. A well-drained soil, deeply worked and containing some humus is ideal for narcissus and they will not tolerate a waterlogged soil. Perfect Lady will grow to around 45cm.
