- Description
Suitable for forcing in February and a splendid in pots and bowls, Actaea has a broad snow white perianth with a large yellow cup which is broadly margined dark red. Our Daffodils and Narcissi are ordered following the Royal Horticultural Society’s classification. Actaea is a Division 9 – Poeticus Narcissi, a variety which will bear a single flower per stem, most are rounded and have a small saucer shaped yellow corona which is edged red. A well-drained soil, deeply worked and containing some humus is ideal for narcissus and they will not tolerate a waterlogged soil. Actaea will grow to around 42cm and has also been presented the RHS Award of Merit.
