Lilies Trumpet Lilies African Queen Strain

A beautifully scented strain of Lilies, the African Queen Strain was first introduced in 1958 and will bear up to six trumpet flowers on a single stem with narrow green leaves. Each flower stems from a yellowish bud, dark flushed with red. The flower itself could be described as a soft buttery orange with prominent ginger anthers. The African Queen strain will grow well in both sun or partial shade and should be planted approximately 20cm deep and 35-40cm apart.
