- Time for planting
A striking blood red Tulip with a golden edging Davenport is a Fringed Tulip. A form which is now separately classified from the Parrot Tulips as the edges have a clear crystalline fringe as opposed to more deeply cut feathered effect of Parrot Tulips. The Fringed Tulips are predominantly lacking the green markings on the outer petals which is quite common in Parrot Tulips. Davenport will grow to 45cm and will flower in April to May.
