Glistening white petals with a maroon purple flame which was much admired at the Chelsea Flower Show on its introduction, Flaming Baltic is a Fringed Tulip. A form which is now separately classified from the Parrot Tulips as the edges have a clear crystalline fringe as opposed to more deeply cut feathered effect of Parrot Tulips. The Fringed Tulips are predominantly lacking the green markings on the outer petals which is quite common in Parrot Tulips. Flaming Baltic will grow to 50cm and will flower in April to May.
