Tulips Lily Flowered Tulip Marilyn

A creamy white tulip with a red flame which tapers at the petals tips, Marilyn is a Lily Flowered Tulip. Introduced in 1915 Lily Flowered Tulips can trace their origins back to the 18th Century and the Species Tulip acuminata. With long and elegant reflexed pointed petals The Lily Flowered Tulips are best grown in groups within the border with their strong wiry stems. They flower from Late April into May and are on average 50cm tall, with Marilyn in particular growing to 55cm. Marilyn is a sport of Mariette, first raised 1976.
