A shorter alternative to ‘White Triumphator’ Sapporo is a Lily Flowered Tulip which starts a pale yellow turning to a creamy white. Introduced in 1915 Lily Flowered Tulips can trace their origins back to the 18th Century and the Species Tulip acuminata. With long and elegant reflexed pointed petals The Lily Flowered Tulips are best grown in groups within the border with their strong wiry stems. They flower from Late April into May and are on average 50cm tall, with Sapporo in particular growing to 45cm
