Tulips Species Tulip sylvestris
Sweetly scented rich yellow star shaped Tulip with a greenish base and flush on the outside of the petals. Up to two pendant buds but erect when in full flower. Excellent for naturalizing in grass. Flowers in April.

NAtive of the damp meadowlands of the British Isles and southern Eruope spreading freely by underground stolons, it is suitable for naturalising in orchads and beneath trees. Here it will increase rapidly and bloom during April and May, bearing one or two flowers on thin wiry stems at 16" or 40cm tall. It has narrow grey-green leaves 9" (22cm) long and bears gracefully.
